Caspian Riptide was the software engineer and maintenance for the Nostromo spacecraft's voyage to Mars. She presents herself as a relaxed, rather bubbly individual with a surfer accent, but her true nature is far different. Under the hood, Caspian is a sociopath, completely fearless, strictly logical, and barely able to feel empathy for anything. This emptiness led to desire for thrill, which eventually led to her working as the ambassador of sorts for the Nightworms, which had infested the USS Elysium.

Personality

Charming and mellow on the outside, cold and calculating on the inside.

Physical Appearance

Art by Trigger

Caspian is depicted as a tall, athletic woman; with blue hair styled like ocean waves and distant, blue eyes. She dressed in the USS Nostromo uniform for the technical engineer: a periwinkle and red jumpsuit with a capelet with the Nostromo logo, a protective vest, a belt with some gear attached, and her blue repair kit.

Relationships

Caspian, being someone who struggles with empathy, typically does not have many relationships at all, and the ones she does have usually sour.

The Nightworms

Caspian and the Nightworms have a strange relationship. Caspian essentially works for them, by trying to kill all humans on board the Elysium, which included her follow Nostromo members. After all, she didn't care about them anyway, as she can't care for much. At the end of the game, Caspian was assimilated into their ranks, but is still independent and acts on her own accord. However, why she started working for them in the first place is rather odd. Her loyalty to the nightworms derives from nothing but piqued interest, as she felt they'd provide her an experience far more thrilling than earth ever could.

Min Leoi

The technical engineer of the Elysium.

Umiko and Cruise Riptide

Umiko and Cruise are Caspian's parents who caught on to her misbehavior and strange mannerisms, bringing her to a therapist to diagnose the issue. After she was diagnosed with Antisocial Personality Disorder, both parents showed disdain and fear of Caspian, enough to cause her to cut them out completely. Caspian loathes them from the bottom of her heart.
