This is the wiki page for the Sad Otters, a roleplaying group on Discord that participate in Mutual Killing Roleplay Games and similar style of games.
Note: There are spoilers for our roleplays on this wiki, I do not recommend reading it unless you have read our roleplays!
Who are the Sad Otters?
The Sad Otters is a group of people on Discord who participate in various roleplay sessions, where the participants are lead by a Game Master through a set of trials and tribulations. Participants take the identity of an original character as they traverse dangerous scenarios in which real-time decision making decides the fate of our fictional victims.
Most game sessions are based on Mutual Killing Games from the Danganronpa series, in which participants must kill each other in order to escape and win their respective Games. Some roleplay sessions are also inspired in-part or fully by other notable franchises' rules and themes, like Zero Escape, Steins;Gate, and Umineko no Naku Koro ni.
Since Killing Game 9 in the Summer of 2018, the types of roleplays have varied quite significantly in terms of content. Some that go too far out of the realms of reality to fit within the timeline have been dubbed as Side Otters.
