Mutual Killing Games are a set of Death Games orchestrated by masterminds in order to have the characters kill each other to accomplish a goal. Each Killing Game divides its cast into the innocents/victims and the kilers. also known as Blackened, and it's the overall goal of the Blackened to eliminate the innocents in order to escape, and for the innocents to capture and eliminate the Blackened to survive and/or escape.
The Mutual Killing Games are based on the scenarios from the Danganronpa series of video games, with rules and story elements carrying over or inspired by the series. Traditional "Mutual Life," based off Danganronpa 1 and Danganronpa 2, follows a structure of a character killing another character and becoming a Blackened, and then a trial is held in order for the innocents to find the culprit and execute them. Other variants include Mafia-styled games, similar in style to Danganronpa 3's Killing Game, in which the mastermind assigns a killer to eliminate everyone one-by-one, and the innocents must lynch the assassin in order to win.
